Since the 9th of December, I am the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church of Enderlin, ND and Anselm Trinity. My ordination will be January 6th, 2008, at Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND 1011 12th Ave. N.

 Bishop Foss called. I'm assigned to Eastern North Dakota.

Craige Boehlke just called and I am assigned to Region 3.

My family and I spent Saturday and Sunday in the cities. We had a nice time taking Matt and Emily to the Mall of America amusement park on Saturday and the Minnesota Zoo on Sunday. This week Pastor Dan of Peace Lutheran offered me the opportunity to preach on labor day. It pained me to turn it down but I am already committed to a family picnic at Breckenridge. I hope I get another opportunity.

When I waited to be approved for ordination it felt like limbo. I was trained to do ministry and had to find other ways to fulfill what God put on my heart. And I was able to do that through the type of work I found for the interim. Now that I am approved for ministry I find it difficult again. Now I wait for October to be assigned to a bishop. Again it feels like limbo. Sometimes ministry seeks me out and I like that. It feels more like a call when God's people call me to lead worship, preach, or visit. However, sometimes I have to beat the bushes a little in order to find something good to do. If anyone decides to read my journal I am accepting advise for preparing for ministry now that the academic work is for the most part behind me.
